Size: Some very early Sunflowers require a smaller sail than this one. How do you tell if this is the right sail for your boat? This sail is taller than it is wide. The small sail width is equal to its height (Height measured along the front edge, width measured along the bottom edge). So, if you compare the lengths of the two poles that the sail mounts to (the "boom" and "top spar") and they are equal, you need the small sail. If one is longer than the other, this is the right sail for your boat. If you need the smaller sail, order from any of our other listings that say something like "45 SF sail for Super Snark and Sea Snark."

There are 3 poles that ae part of a Sunflower 3.3 -- The mast is the vertical one and it is 99 inches. The gaff is the almost vertical slanting one and it is 148 inches. The boom is the horizontal one at the bottom of the sail and it is 120 inches. These are the pole lengths, not measurements of the sail. The sail will fit if your poles are close to these lengths.
