ECOPROTEKT – SYSTEM Can any central
vacuum cleaner be combined with the ECOPROTEKT-System ? In
principle any central vacuum cleaner can be used in
conjunction with the ECOPROTEKT-System. Depending on the actual filtration
performance of the central vacuum cleaner used it is possible to reduce the
lifetime of the ECOPROTEKT-System. The cause
for this is to be seen in the often differing details about the performance
data given by manufacturers or
distributors of central vacuum cleaners, which are often given under
promotional aspects. Also there are central vacuum cleaners in the market,
which do not fulfil the qualitative
premises to be combined with an ECOPROTEKT-System. To provide
transparency here, we created our system of certification, which is free of
charge for any manufacturer or distributor of central vacuum cleaners, and in
which the units are verified in the described aspects. Why are only certain central vacuum
cleaners certified for the use in
combination with the ECOPROTEKT-System ? Our certification on every specific model, which is free of charge for
any Manufacturer or distributor of central vacuum cleaners, in which we check
if a central vacuum cleaner is operable
in combination with the ECOPROTEKT-System, is securing
some of the given performance data of the CVC. The procedure calls for having
the central vacuum cleaner to be certified yielded by the manufacturer or distributor
for a test period for verifying the performance data. This secures that actual data
instead of performance data given
are certified. Must the
ECOPROTEKT-System be cleaned, when in use or in between ? Provided that the ECOPROTEKT-System is combined with a certified or
adequate central vacuum cleaner which is maintained at regular intervals and
moreover it is obviated to contaminate
the exhaust air delivered by the central vacuum cleaner by means of
a bursting overfilled vacuum cleaner bag
or overfilled cyclone air filter dirt canister there is no need to for
cleaning the active matrix within the
life cycle of the active matrix. What is the
life cycle of the ECOPROTEKT-System ? The only “wearing part” of the
ECOPROTEKT-System is the changeable part
of the active matrix. At an average
utilisation of a certified central vacuum cleaner ( a quaternary household and
45 – 60 minutes of vacuuming / day ) the filter module should be changed each
60 months. When using a not certified central vacuum cleaner it is strictly
recommended to change the filter module at the latest after 30 months. The
replacement was until now exclusively realised as a return system by us or our national licensed dealers. On
quest of the American market here occurs a changeover to a system of filter modules post purchased at the local specialist shop and to be changed by

central vacuum cleaner, if it is operated in its adequate operating condition
and some qualitative requirements are fulfilled as on certified central vacuum
cleaners. When certifying central vacuum cleaners there was no higher range of wear to state on parts
like blower bearings or carbon brushes to be observed. Does the use of the ECOPROTEKT-System
reduce the efficiency of my central vacuum cleaner ? No, if the central vacuum cleaner is operated in its range of
performance and some basic requirements of quality, which are verified if a CVC
was certified for use with the ECOPROTEKT-System by us, there is no appreciable loss of
vacuuming performance. Each conventional installed central vacuum cleaner is, if it is proper
designed, constructed to carry the air flow which is needed to create its
vacuuming performance over a defined length of pipe work. In normal case the vendor of a CVC will state or can state something as
“maximum pipe length” If we imagine an installed central vacuum cleaner in the direction of
the air flow, we’ve got air at atmospheric pressure at the vacuuming nozzle,
which is occasioned by this pressure to stream towards the central unit through
the “vacuum pipe”. Within the central unit the air is compressed and
accelerated towards the exhaust air silencer after passing the central vacuums Filter media or cyclonic air filter. After passing the silencer the air
is ducted towards the exhaust air flap at the outside of the building, where it
expands to atmospheric pressure again. When we realize, that there is atmospheric pressure at both ends of the system is it to understand, that there is
no matter where in the systems maximum pipe length the central unit is installed. It is to consider, that the stated maximum pipe length is to be
understood as a straight pipes length without
changes of direction or cross-section reductions. In a qualified
planning of a central vacuum cleaner installation there are some substitute
values of flow resistance to be included
in the calculation for each change of direction with a pipe fitting. E. g. a
long pipe bend with 90° will generate
the same flow restriction as 1.26 meters
of straight pipe. For the ECOPROTEKT-System the substitute value is 6 meters of straight
pipe relating to An active matrix with a filter module in the state of new. Is the degree
of
purification
really at that high grade ? It is. The filter media used in the active matrix of the
ECOPROTEKT-System are the same as in professional air conditioning used for
clean rooms and operation rooms,
furthermore they are operated
under the conditions they are designed for when used as given above. Can I use the warm air delivered by the
ECOPROTEKT-System e. g. for drying my
laundry ? Of course, to get the warm air usable for something was one the basic ideas when we designed the
